Aromatherapy is all the rage.  Turn your shower into a sedative experience.  Grab a Zum Bar before jumping in and you'll relax your senses from an overpowering day.

It is believed that fibromyalgia suffers may possess an intolerance to life's daily toxins.  Unfortunately, these toxins can be found in most items we purchase.  And, furthermore, the skin being the largest organ our body hosts drinks in all these atrocities daily.  Why just check out your personal care products and notice if they contain any of these substances:

1. IODOPROPYNYL BUTYLLCARBAMATE
Reproductive system toxicity.

2.LECITHIN Penetration enhancer.

3. RESORCINOL Possible human carcinogen.

4. FDC YELLOW 6 Possible human carcinogen.

5.PARABENS Reproductive system toxicity.

6. SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE Gastrointestinal toxicity.

7. PROPYLENE GLYCOL Immune toxicant.

8 TOCOPHERYL ACETATE Immune toxicant.

9.FRAGRANCE Immune toxicant.

10. DISODIUM DTA Penetration  enhancer.

Why put your body in undue stress by contributing toxins that may inflict more chronic pain?  Take steps to rid your body of daily toxins where ever possible.  Especially in your bathroom!  I recently purchased a Zum Bar and was pleasantly surprised  with the results.  Not only did I feel I was cleansing my body naturally, but the aroma was a meditational adventure in itself.  Zum Bars include: Zum Bar Frankincense & Myrrh-3 oz., Indigo Wild: Zum Bar Goat's Milk Soap, Dragon's Blood 3 oz, Earth Tones Zum Bars by Indigo Wild, Frankincense Patchouli Zum Bars Multipack (5 Count) by Indigo Wild, Zum Bar sea salt, Indigo Wild Zum Bar Goats Milk Soap 3 oz Sandal & Citrus, Indigo Wild: Zum Bar Goat's Milk Soap, Coffee & Almond 3 oz, Earth And Sea Zum Bars by Indigo Wild, Frankincense And Lavender Zum Bars Multipack (5 Count by Indigo Wild), to name a few.

"If you're good in this life, maybe you'll come back as a Zum Bar in
your next life. This natural soap has the good stuff of goat's milk, 100% pure
essential oils, veggie oils, herbs, natural glycerin and natural mineral
pigments. But why? Well, it's better than stuff like tallow (beef fat) or PEG-6
methyl ether (a thickener) or tetrasodium EDTA (water softener) or lard (yeah,
no explanation necessary).

The bad stuff in un-natural soap is obvious, but some wonderers wonder, "Why
use goat's milk?" Well, there's an udder difference in the pH balance of goat's
milk. Goat's milk makes our natural soap more akin to the skin than anything
else - not too alkaline, not too acidic, but just right. So it doesn't dry skin
or leave it feeling oily.

What's inside? All-natural ingredients you can pronounce.
Saponified 100% food grade olive, coconut, palm
& castor oils, in a goat's milk base, with herbs, pure essential oils and
natural colorings." - taken from Indigo Wild Website

Natural Toothpastes

There's a sense of control that is regained when you begin the quest of avoiding all the unnatural products that may have contributed to your current  circumstance.  Your body begins to feel healthier and pains and nuances are swept to the sidewalk.  Your outlook becomes educated as your body begins to rid itself of excess chemicals through colds and such.

I've often noted I'm thwarted with a head cold or flu like symptoms whenever I add another natural body cleanser to my routine.  This is due to the excess toxins and mucus in the body as my system flushes these invaders away.  Small microbes discover the excess wastes, morph into other forms,  and go about doing their job - consuming the bodily wastes. While this is happening,  symptoms begin that makes us miserable.

Commercial brand toothpastes contain caustic and toxic ingredients known to  affect physical health. There's a reason why if it's ingested in large quantities that the consumer is directed to call a poison control
center.

Invaders in Your Toothpaste

Sodium fluoride (aka Flouride) is a toxic chemical used in rat poison. Teeth do  not require fluoride, but fluorine. Fluoride is not a mineral or element, but  fluorine is. Fluorine helps prevent tooth decay. Organic fluorine is found in  Black Walnut Hulls and Miswak (Peelu), although in very low concentrations.

Propylene glycol is an industrial agent. It is commonly used to keep products  moist and is also used in car antifreeze solutions and de-icing solutions for  cars, airplanes, and boats.

Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLS) is a surfactant and detergent commonly used in  engine degreaser, garage floor cleaners, and car wash soaps. It's also used  clinical testing as a primary skin irritant.

Sodium saccharin is another ingredient in rat poison. In toothpaste, it's a  sweetener.

Polyethylene is PLASTIC.

Blue Lake, FD & C Lake, and all the Lakes are petroleum-derived dyes and  known carcinogens. They are used in your toothpastes to give them color.

I spent my life trying to save a few pennies in abating my financial budget strains.  Yet, I wonder while saving these few cents, had I put my own health in jeopardy?  Buying natural toothpastes costs a few cents more than their counterparts.  When I think of how long a tube can last, I think of how silly I've been in not incorporating this simple luxury into my life sooner.

Natural Shampoos

Since cleaning up my diet of preservatives and chemicals, I've noticed a remarkable improvement in my overall health.  I am able to get out for longer periods of time without pain reoccurrence.  In fact, some days are virtually pain free!  This has prompted me to take a peek at other areas of my life that are accustomed to unnatural products.

One of the largest organs our body hosts is our skin.  The skin has three basic roles:

 PROTECTION
It protects the body from mechanical, physical, chemical or microbial attack from the outside environment, among others through immunological and cell mechanisms and its impermeability, strength and
flexibility.

TRANSMISSION
It is used to transmit information between the body and the outside world through its many nerve endings which receive tactile, thermal and pain stimuli.

ECHANGES
It is the site of multiple exchanges between the body and the outside environment. It is involved in complex mechanisms such as body temperature regulation (by eliminating heat and evaporating the sweat secreted
by sweat glands as well as eliminating harmful substances) and synthesis of vitamin D which is essential to bone growth.

It seems utterly ridiculous that an organ that takes 16% of our body weight allows such potential health risks with many of the products on our counters today.  You'd think there would be more thought put into what we place on our epidermus. Lurking in many of your shampoos are the following five toxins:

Methylisothiazoline
The damage causes by methylisothiazoline can put unborn children at risk for brain defects,
as well as lead to the onset of Alzheimer's and other neurological disorders leading to auto immune issues.

Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
Is found in nearly every popular brand of shampoo and body wash. These chemicals are a known carcinogen having an abrasive effect on skin and hair.

Parabens
Have been linked to an increased estrogen levels in the human body and contribute to the development of hormonal disorders and cancer.

Phthalates
Are noted to add fragrance to products.  Some ma be related to reproductive and hormonal problems especially in young children.

Formaldehyde
Has been noted to cause allergic reactions and damage to the nervous system. It can be commonly named as: doazolidinyl urea, imidazolidinyl urea, and quarternium-15.

So it seems only natural that we begin to rid our bodies of any toxic substances we normally use.  Pick shampoos that derive products from natural sources such as Nature's Garden. Nature's Garden and other shampoos and conditioners found at your local health food store will ensure your skin soaks up ingredients that are nontoxic enabling you better health and longevity in the future.
